ABOUT THIS ROLE
Are you a qualified finance professional with a strong background in FMCG manufacturing, supply chain finance, and financial reporting?
Our client, a well-established FMCG manufacturing business based in Amanzimtoti, is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager – Supply Chain & Reporting to join their leadership team. This is a strategic role that combines supply chain finance, group reporting, business partnering, governance, and process improvement, while providing valuable financial insights to support operational and commercial decision‑making.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving financial performance, reporting accuracy, inventory management, cost control, and finance transformation initiatives across the business.
WHAT YOU WILL DO- Lead the reporting and analysis of factory overhead costs, distribution expenses, warehousing costs, and inventory performance
- Monitor material usage, pricing variances, stock write-offs, inventory valuation, and obsolete stock provisions
- Develop financial models to support operational improvements, productivity initiatives, and capital investment decisions
- Drive budgeting and forecasting processes across supply chain operations
- Develop and enhance dashboards and reporting tools to support business decision‑making
- Manage and oversee quarterly and annual stock counts
- Lead month‑end close activities and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Prepare and distribute management reports including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow reporting
- Partner with group reporting teams and ensure compliance with reporting deadlines and corporate requirements
- Ensure the integrity of inventory, accruals, provisions, intercompany balances, and other balance sheet accounts
- Drive reporting automation, standardisation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage fixed asset accounting, capitalisation processes, and asset register integrity
- Support internal and external audit requirements and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
- Oversee banking relationships, insurance requirements, tax compliance, and governance processes
- CA(SA) or CIMA qualification (essential)
- Minimum 8–10 years post‑articles experience within FMCG, manufacturing, or supply chain environments
- Minimum 5 years experience in a senior finance leadership role
- Proven experience managing month‑end close and group reporting requirements within a multinational environment
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise
- Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory management, and supply chain processes
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong ERP system experience, preferably Syspro or SAP
- Proven experience developing Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Excellent analytical, commercial, and problem‑solving abilities
- High attention to detail and commitment to reporting accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet demanding reporting deadlines
