A rapidly growing organisation within the resources and engineering sector is seeking a General Accountant to join their finance team in the Northern Cape. This dynamic business operates within a technically complex environment, supporting large-scale operations in mining, engineering, and construction-related activities. This role offers exposure to end-to-end accounting in a fast‑paced, operationally driven environment where precision, discipline, and commercial awareness are critical to success.

• Manage full accounting function including journals, reconciliations, and month‑end processes
• Prepare accurate financial records, trial balances, and management reports
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support operational decision‑making
• Oversee creditors, debtors, and cashbook functions to ensure financial accuracy and control
• Support audit processes and ensure compliance with IFRS and internal controls
• Prepare statutory returns including VAT and other regulatory submissions
• Contribute to financial reporting within a high‑volume, operational mining/engineering environment

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with 2–4 years post‑articles experience
• Strong accounting background with solid exposure to financial reporting and reconciliations
• Mining, engineering, construction, or heavy industry experience highly advantageous
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, operational environment
• Proficient in Excel and financial systems with strong analytical capability
