Job Role Requirements
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or related field.
- Professional qualification such as CIMA, CA(SA), ACCA, or equivalent will be advantageous.
- Grade 12.
- Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in Commercial Finance, Financial Analysis, Business Intelligence, or Financial Controlling.
- FMCG industry experience is essential.
- Experience supporting Sales and Commercial teams.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and profitability analysis.
- 3+ years experience working in a Business Intelligence environment.
- Experience with BI tools such as Qlik, Power BI, or similar.
- Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting systems.
- Knowledge of Meat Matrix system will be advantageous.
- Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Sales Director and Commercial Team to provide financial insights that support strategic business decisions.
- Analyse sales performance, pricing, Gross Profit (GP), margins, customer profitability, and market trends to drive profitable growth.
- Manage pricing governance, pricing models, GP performance, and profitability analysis across products, customers, and sales channels.
- Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, management reports, dashboards, and performance analysis.
- Develop and maintain Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and reporting solutions to support data-driven decision-making.
- Analyse large datasets and translate complex information into meaningful business insights and recommendations.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and governance across reporting and financial systems.
- Support financial controls, audits, and compliance with company policies and governance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement through reporting automation, process optimisation, and system enhancements.
- Monitor trade spend, rebates, customer claims, and working capital to improve profitability and revenue quality.
- Skills Required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 Suite.
- Strong SQL and database querying skills.
- Proficiency in MS SQL Server.
- Strong financial modelling capabilities.
- Dashboard development and data visualisation expertise.
- Knowledge of ERP and accounting systems.
- Understanding of data warehousing and data governance principles.
- Strong pricing strategy and price management experience.
- Strong Gross Profit (GP) analysis and margin management skills.
- Excellent commercial and financial decision-making ability.
