Finance Manager: Supply Chain and Operations

Are you a commercially astute CA(SA) who can turn complex financial and supply chain data into stronger operational decisions? We are recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the financial performance of its supply chain and operations function. The successful candidate will provide accurate financial insight, strengthen controls, optimise costs and support informed decision-making across the business.

• Manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and expense analysis.
• Take ownership of the balance sheet, profit and loss statement and technical accounting requirements.
• Oversee stock accounting, goods in transit, purchase orders, usage variances and Bill of Materials integrity.
• Monitor demurrage, port costs, GRNI, working capital and capital expenditure.
• Analyse financial and operational performance to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Develop financial models, forecasts, business plans and cost-optimisation recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with financial procedures, audit requirements, legislation and contract controls.
• Work closely with finance, supply chain and operational stakeholders across the business.

• Six to ten years’ finance experience within a manufacturing, mining or pharmaceutical environment.
• At least three years’ management experience.
• Strong financial analysis, modelling, forecasting and risk-management capabilities.
• Sound understanding of supply chain finance, treasury, financial accounting, foreign exchange and commodity markets.
• Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with D365, AX, Qlik View, TM1 or Power BI would be advantageous.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving and communication skills.
