Role Description The Finance Manager at Food Socks is a full-time, on-site role based in Somerset West. This role is responsible for managing daily financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting. The Finance Manager will oversee accounting processes, support month-end and year-end close, and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies. The position includes monitoring costs, analyzing financial performance, supporting pricing decisions, and advising leadership on financial risks and opportunities.
The Finance Manager will collaborate with operations, procurement, and management teams to support strategic decision-making and sustainable growth.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting principles, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
- Experience with financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP or accounting software, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools).
- Ability to interpret financial data, develop insights, and create clear, actionable reports for leadership.
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations, internal controls, and compliance standards.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; a professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) is an advantage.
- Previous experience as a Finance Manager or in a senior finance role, preferably within FMCG, retail, or food-related industries.
