SUMMARYA luxury Big Five safari lodge is seeking a FIELD GUIDE / LODGE ANCHOR COUPLE to join their team.
POSITION INFOThe lodge is based in the Greater Kruger area and this position is ideally suited to a couple who are passionate about wildlife, hospitality, and delivering exceptional guest experiences within an intimate lodge environment. They should demonstrate strong communication, initiative, and the ability to maintain exceptional service levels while embracing the lifestyle and demands of remote safari lodge living.
Role 1:Field Guide Candidate Responsibilities
- Conduct interpretive game drives and, where qualified, guided bush walks in a Big Five reserve
- Deliver engaging wildlife experiences with a strong focus on guest safety and education
- Ensure vehicle maintenance, reserve protocols, and guiding standards are upheld
- Assist with lodge operations when required, including guest hosting and activity coordination
- Valid FGASA qualification (minimum NQF2) and relevant guiding certifications
- Preferably Trails qualification but not essential
- Valid PDP and First Aid certification
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills
- Professional, guest-focused, and safety-conscious approach
Lodge Anchor Candidate Responsibilities
- Oversee front-of-house operations and ensure seamless guest experiences
- Manage guest check-ins, hosting, dining coordination, and special requests
- Supervise housekeeping standards and lodge presentation
- Support administration, stock control, and daily operational flow
- Previous experience in a luxury lodge or boutique hospitality environment
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent guest engagement and problem-solving ability
- Professional presentation and leadership capability
- 3 weeks on, 1 week off work cycle
- Private accommodation with en-suite bathroom and patio
- Meals, Provident fund and Uniform provided
