Up and Coming Country Club is looking for a RESTAURANT MANAGER

We are building a world-class space that blends the heritage of our 100-year-old estate with ultra-modern luxury. Now, we need a visionary Restaurant Manager to breathe life into this new icon.

You will oversee everything from our high-end dining terrace to our legendary wood-panelled pub, ensuring every member and guest receives service that rivals the best clubs globally.

• Must have 5+ years’ relevant experience in hospitality and restaurants.
• A Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management (e.g., BTech or equivalent) is preferred to ensure a strong theoretical foundation in service excellence.
• Must have valid working knowledge Food Safety/Hygiene standards and comprehensive understanding of South African liquor licensing laws.
• Ability to manage P&L, food and labour costs, and inventory with precision to ensure the new venue’s commercial viability.
• Proficiency in high-end POS systems and inventory management software for detailed reporting and analytics.
• Ability to collaborate with the Head Chef on menu engineering and pricing that aligns with a "best in the country" vision.
• Skills in recruiting, training, and mentoring a high-performance team to meet international luxury standards.
• A "hands-on" leader who manages by walkabout, ensuring quality control at every table and station.
• Mastery of personalised guest service, including the ability to build rapport with club members and guests alike.
• A "non-clock-watcher" attitude, willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
