Assistant Lodge Manager

An intimate, wildlife-rich property known for close game viewing and warm hospitality, this lodge needs an AGM who can run operations smoothly while keeping guest experience front and centre. You'll work closely with the General Manager across all departments, from front of house to food and beverage to lodge administration.

• Previous experience in an Assistant General Manager or senior management role within a luxury lodge or remote environment
• Strong understanding of lodge operations, including F&B, housekeeping, and front of house
• Solid financial and stock control skills, including budgeting and cost management
• Excellent leadership and staff management ability
• Strong guest relations skills, comfortable engaging with a high-end, discerning clientele
• Hospitality qualification will be beneficial
• Ability to work well under pressure in a remote, bush environment
• Flexible, hands‑on, and able to step in wherever needed

• Support the General Manager in overseeing daily lodge operations
• Manage and mentor heads of department across the property
• Oversee stock control, ordering, and cost management
• Assist with guest relations, ensuring a seamless and memorable stay
• Handle administrative duties, including reporting and rostering
• Maintain service standards across all departments
• Step in to manage the lodge in the GM's absence
• Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are upheld throughout the property
