A luxury safari lodge in the Timbavati region, bordering the Kruger National Park, is seeking an experienced F&B MANAGER AND GUIDE COUPLE to join their team.

This is a dual-role position suited to a couple who bring complementary skills to a small, high-end lodge environment: one partner leading food and beverage operations, the other leading guests into the bush. Both roles demand a strong work ethic, guest-focused attitude, and the ability to thrive in a remote, close-knit team.

Role 1 | F&B MANAGER

Core Criteria:
  • Strong, proven experience in food and beverage management within a lodge or high-end hospitality setting
  • Solid understanding of stock control, ordering, and cost management
  • Strong leadership and staff management ability
  • Excellent guest interaction and service standards
  • Well organised, detail oriented, and able to manage pressure during service
  • Flexible and adaptable within a small-team, remote environment
Candidate Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all food and beverage service across the lodge
  • Manage stock control, ordering, and requisitions
  • Lead, train, and manage F&B staff to maintain service standards
  • Coordinate closely with the kitchen and reception teams
  • Maintain high standards of guest service throughout all meal periods
  • Handle guest queries and requests relating to dining and beverage service
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day F&B operational flow
Role 2 | GUIDE

Core Criteria:
  • Minimum 3-4 years guiding experience in a safari or reserve environment
  • Trails highly beneficial
  • Relevant guiding qualification and required registrations
  • Valid firearm competency (advantageous or required, depending on reserve protocol)
  • Excellent guest engagement and storytelling ability
  • Comfortable conducting both vehicle-based game drives and walking safaris
Candidate Responsibilities:
  • Conduct game drives and, where applicable, guided walks for lodge guests
  • Deliver an engaging, informative, and safe guest experience in the field
  • Maintain vehicle and equipment in good working order
  • Build strong knowledge of the reserve, its wildlife, and its ecology
  • Uphold safety protocols at all times while guiding
  • Assist with general guest interaction beyond scheduled activities where needed
