Assistant Manager

Location: Hazyview

A large self-catering resort in the Hazyview region is seeking a motivated and hands-on Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operation of the property.
The successful candidate will assist with managing guest services, reservations, and Front Office operations while supporting the Lodge Manager in ensuring smooth resort operations. This role is ideal for an aspiring hospitality leader looking to grow within a dynamic resort environment.

REQUIREMENT:
- RSA  legal residence essential
- Minimum 3 years' hospitality management experience essential
- Hospitality qualification beneficial
- Valid Driver's License essential
- Strong Front Office and guest relations experience
- Experience managing reservations and booking systems
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong administration and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lead and motivate staff
- Professional, guest-focused approach
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy hospitality environment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage reservations and Front Office operations
- Welcome and assist guests throughout their stay
- Support the Lodge Manager with daily operational requirements
- Oversee guest check-ins and check-outs
- Assist with staff supervision, training, and development
- Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and service delivery
- Monitor operational standards across the resort
- Handle guest queries and resolve complaints professionally
- Prepare reports and maintain operational records
- Relieve the Lodge Manager during leave cycles and days off
PACKAGE:
- R20,000 per month
- Live-in accommodation provided
