About the Role
Our client is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Catering Supervisor to lead their catering team for corporate events in Klerksdorp . This role involves overseeing the setup, service, and breakdown of catering for business functions, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for clients and their guests. You will be responsible for supervising catering staff, managing event logistics on-site, and upholding the company's standards for quality and service, playing a key role in the success of corporate functions within the Klerksdorp business community.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and direct catering staff during event setup, service, and breakdown.
- Ensure all catering services are delivered promptly, professionally, and according to client specifications.
- Manage event logistics, including table settings, food and beverage service, and adherence to timelines.
- Monitor food and beverage quality and presentation, ensuring standards are consistently met.
- Liaise with clients on-site to address any immediate needs or requests, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Train new catering staff on service standards, safety protocols, and venue-specific procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces and catering equipment.
- Previous experience as a Catering Supervisor , Team Lead, or similar role in the hospitality or events industry.
- Strong understanding of event service standards and food and beverage handling procedures.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for client and staff interaction.
- Must be physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight.
