About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Banquet Staff Coordinator to manage staffing for events held in Vereeniging . This role is essential for ensuring that all banquets and functions are adequately staffed with skilled personnel, leading to flawless execution. You will be responsible for scheduling, training, and managing a team of banquet servers, bartenders, and other event support staff.

• Develop and manage staffing schedules for all banquet events, ensuring adequate coverage.
• Recruit, interview, and train new banquet staff members, ensuring they meet service standards.
• Oversee banquet staff during events, providing direction and support to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Conduct pre-event briefings with staff to outline event details, service requirements, and expectations.
• Manage staff performance, providing feedback and addressing any issues promptly.
• Ensure adherence to hygiene, safety, and service standards throughout all banquet operations.

• Previous experience in a supervisory or coordination role, preferably in banquets or event services.
• Strong understanding of event logistics and staffing needs.
• Excellent organizational and scheduling skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage and motivate staff.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by event schedules.
