Reservations Supervisor

About the Role

Our client, a busy hotel in Vereeniging, is seeking an efficient and detail-oriented Reservations Supervisor to lead their reservations team. This critical role ensures the smooth and accurate processing of all room bookings, managing inventory, and optimizing occupancy rates. You will be responsible for training and guiding the reservations agents, implementing effective booking strategies, and providing exceptional service to potential guests.

This position is key to maximizing revenue and maintaining high occupancy in a competitive market within Gauteng.

• Supervise the daily operations of the reservations department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Train, mentor, and motivate reservation agents, setting performance standards and conducting evaluations.
• Implement and manage reservation strategies to optimize occupancy and revenue, utilizing yield management techniques.
• Handle complex reservations, group bookings, and special requests with professionalism and attention to detail.
• Ensure all reservation systems are updated accurately and maintained according to hotel standards.
• Liaise with Front Desk, Sales, and Marketing departments to ensure cohesive operations and guest satisfaction.

• Previous experience in hotel reservations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role, preferably in the Vereeniging area.
• Proficiency in Property Management Systems (PMS) and reservation software.
• Strong understanding of yield management principles and revenue optimization strategies.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
