Event Logistics Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and meticulous Event Logistics Coordinator to manage the operational backend of their catering services in Nelspruit . You will be responsible for coordinating the procurement, setup, and breakdown of all event-related resources, ensuring that every event runs seamlessly from a logistical perspective. This role requires exceptional planning skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to managing the complex details of catering operations.

You will ensure that all resources are in place, on time, and meet the high standards required for client satisfaction in the Mpumalanga region.

• Coordinate the delivery, setup, and teardown of all event equipment, including furniture, linens, décor, and A/V equipment.
• Manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to contract specifications.
• Develop detailed logistical plans and timelines for each event, anticipating potential challenges.
• Oversee inventory management of event supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Liaise with the culinary team and event managers to ensure smooth operational flow.
• Troubleshoot and resolve logistical issues that arise during event execution.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, operations, or event coordination, preferable in the catering or event industry.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in inventory management and vendor coordination.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly under pressure.
• Ability to read and interpret event layouts and production schedules.
• Must be physically capable of lifting and moving equipment as needed.
