About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Reservations Manager to lead their reservations team at their property in Nelspruit . This role is key to maximizing room occupancy and revenue by overseeing the reservations process, managing inventory, and ensuring a seamless booking experience for guests. You will lead a team, implement effective strategies, and work closely with sales and marketing to achieve targets.
This hybrid position allows for focused management of reservations systems and team oversight, with flexibility for administrative tasks.
- Manage all aspects of the reservations department, including inventory control, room allocations, and rate management.
- Lead, train, and motivate the reservations team to achieve performance targets and provide exceptional service.
- Develop and implement effective reservations strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue.
- Monitor booking trends, market demand, and competitor pricing to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all reservation processes, from inquiry to confirmation.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and front office departments to align on revenue goals and guest needs.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in hotel reservations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Strong understanding of revenue management principles and strategies.
- Proficiency in hotel reservation systems (PMS) and channel managers.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive revenue.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
