Relief Lodge Manager – Hazyview | Lb

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and capable Relief Lodge Manager to join a prestigious luxury game reserve in Hazyview;
Mpumalanga.

• Assume responsibility for the overall lodge operation during relief periods.
• Maintain high standards of luxury hospitality and guest service.
• Oversee daily lodge operations, ensuring all departments function efficiently.
• Lead; support and motivate the lodge team, fostering a professional and positive working environment.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and ensure that individual guest needs are consistently anticipated and met.
• Assist with staff management, including scheduling, performance and operational support.
• Ensure lodge standards, procedures and company policies are consistently maintained.
• Work closely with departmental heads to ensure seamless communication and operational continuity.
• Assist with stock control, cost management and general administrative duties.
• Handle guest queries, concerns and operational challenges professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain strong relationships with guests, staff and suppliers.
• Represent the property in a professional manner at all times.

• Previous experience in a Lodge Manager, Relief Lodge Manager, Assistant Lodge Manager or similar senior hospitality position.
• Experience with in a luxury lodge, game reserve or safari environment would be highly advantageous.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent guest relations and communication abilities.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional and decisive under pressure.
• A hands-on approach to lodge operations.
• High level of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Relevant hospitality qualifications would be advantageous.
