Location: Mbombela

Our client, a luxurious safari lodge situated near Nelspruit , is seeking a proactive and engaging Guest Relations Officer . This vital role ensures that every guest enjoys a personalized and exceptional stay, acting as the primary point of contact for their needs and inquiries. You will be responsible for managing guest experiences from arrival to departure, coordinating activities, handling special requests, and ensuring seamless communication between guests and lodge departments.

The ideal candidate possesses outstanding interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine passion for creating unforgettable wildlife and hospitality experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests upon arrival, manage check-in procedures, and provide an overview of lodge facilities and activities.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for guests throughout their stay, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and courteously.
  • Coordinate and book guest activities, spa treatments, and dining reservations.
  • Liaise with other departments (housekeeping, kitchen, rangers) to ensure all guest requests and needs are met efficiently.
  • Gather guest feedback and proactively seek opportunities to enhance their experience.
  • Ensure the presentation and maintenance of public areas reflect the lodge's high standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in guest relations, front desk, or a similar guest-facing role, preferably in a luxury lodge or hotel.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in common hotel management software and Microsoft Office.
  • A friendly, approachable demeanor and a proactive attitude towards guest service.
  • Knowledge of local attractions and safari activities in the Mpumalanga region is a plus.
