About the Role Our client, a premier event caterer, is looking for a creative and meticulous Catering Event Planner to join their team in Benoni, Gauteng . This role is central to designing and executing unforgettable catering experiences for a diverse range of clients and events. You will manage events from conception through to completion, working closely with clients to understand their vision and translating it into a seamless reality.

You will be responsible for all aspects of event coordination, including menu selection, logistics, staffing, and budget management, ensuring every detail is perfectly executed. • Plan, coordinate, and execute all types of catering events, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction.
• Consult with clients to understand their event needs, preferences, and budget.
• Develop customized menu proposals and event concepts.
• Manage event logistics, including venue liaison, staffing, rentals, and transportation.
• Oversee event timelines and ensure all deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure food quality and presentation align with client expectations.
• Manage event budgets effectively, tracking expenses and ensuring profitability.
• Conduct site inspections and post-event debriefs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during events.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning, coordination, or management, preferably within the catering or hospitality sector.
• Demonstrated success in managing multiple events simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in event management software and MS Office Suite.
• Creative thinking and a passion for delivering unique event experiences.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
• A degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field is advantageous.
• Must reside in or be able to commute easily to Benoni, Gauteng .
