Recruitment Consultant

Research Square is expanding its international recruitment team. We connect South African engineering talent with leading Dutch and global engineering companies. This role suits proactive, self-driven recruiters who enjoy working in an international context, operating independently, and supporting both Dutch and international clients remotely.

You work as an integrated member of our Dutch recruitment team while being based at our office in Somerset West. You build strong relationships with clients and candidates, manage the complete recruitment cycle, and contribute to internal initiatives that strengthen our recruitment approach.

• Lead the full recruitment process for technical roles, from first contact to placement.
• Build trusted relationships with Dutch and international clients by understanding their technology, culture, requirements and expectations.
• Source South African and international engineering talent and maintain strong partnerships with universities and technical institutions.
• Operate as a remote extension of our Dutch HR and recruitment team, collaborating closely on cross‑border projects.
• Contribute to employer branding, marketing materials and social media visibility.
• Take ownership of your planning, pipeline, communication and targets.
• Support candidates throughout hiring and relocation processes.

• Working in an international environment with space for initiative and entrepreneurship.

• Taking responsibility and shaping solutions independently.

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably HR or business-related).
• 1–3 years of relevant recruitment or talent acquisition experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and confidence in communicating with technical professionals and business stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
• Strong presentation and communication abilities.
• Proactive, self‑reliant and comfortable working independently within a remote team.
