Our client based in Groot Drakenstein, Paarl, Cape Town is in need of a Payroll Administrator for 3 - 4 months.
The Payroll Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of employee compensation within the organization. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll operations, including data collection, processing, reconciliation, and reporting, while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of independently managing complex payroll cycles using Sage 300.
This role supports operational efficiency by ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and seamless coordination with HR and Finance teams. The Payroll Specialist also contributes to continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements and providing actionable insights through monthly reporting.
- Collect, verify, and process payroll data in a timely and accurate manner using Sage 300.
- Ensure all employees are paid correctly and on schedule, with zero errors in compensation.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information at all times.
- Conduct monthly payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Oversee and manage third-party payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Verify time and attendance data to support accurate payroll calculations.
- Validate wage calculations and payment details prior to disbursement.
- Prepare, review, and distribute comprehensive monthly payroll reports to management.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential payroll risks or inconsistencies.
- Proficiency in Sage 300 payroll system and related financial software.
- Strong attention to detail with a proven track record of accuracy in payroll processing.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative in problem‑solving.

- Experience in payroll administration, preferably in a mid-to-large organization.
