VIP Payroll Administrator (Temporary – Maternity Cover)

Duration: 4 Months (until 18 September 2026)
Salary: R18 000 – R20 000 gross per month
Purpose of the Role
To take full responsibility for the accurate and timeous processing of weekly wages and monthly payroll on Sage VIP Classic (On-Premise), including statutory submissions and compliance, during a maternity cover period.
Payroll Environment
• Payroll System:
Sage VIP Classic (On-Premise)
• Modules:
No integrated HR, Leave, ESS, or Time & Attendance modules
• Clocking System: ERS (manual weekly prints; not integrated with VIP)
• Employees:
o Weekly wage earners (across different companies)
o Monthly paid disabled employees
• Payroll Type:
Primarily wages
• Bargaining Council:
None
• Allowances & Calculations:
o Shift allowances
o Night shift allowances
o Overtime calculations
Key Responsibilities
• Full payroll function for weekly wage payroll and monthly salaried payroll
• Capture and process weekly wages using manual clocking system reports
• Process overtime, shift allowances, and night shift allowances
• Ensure accurate payroll calculations and reconciliations
• EMP
201 submissions
• UIF submissions
• SARS eFiling submissions
• Month-end payroll processing
• Generate COIDA and WCA-related reports for submission to the relevant responsible party
• Maintain payroll records and ensure statutory compliance
• Resolve payroll queries professionally and efficiently
• Work closely with current Payroll Administrator during handover/overlap period
Minimum Requirements
• Proven experience working on Sage VIP Classic (On-Premise)
• Minimum 3–5 years payroll experience
• Strong experience in weekly wages payroll processing
• Experience with EMP
201 submissions and UIF submissions
• Working knowledge of SARS eFiling
• Experience processing shift, overtime, and allowance calculations
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently onsite
• Strong administrative and reconciliation skills

Additional Information
• This is a maternity cover position.
• There will be an overlap period with the current Payroll Administrator to ensure a smooth handover.
• The successful candidate must be available to start on 4 May 2026.
• The role is strictly onsite.
