6) or Bachelor’s Degree in Labour Relations/ Human Resource Management/ Labour Law or LLB with a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in the field. Sound knowledge of Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, POPIA, Employment Equity Act, Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations as Amended, various Bargaining Council Regulations. The ability to function well under pressure, prioritize matters and act on them accordingly.
Be able to function both independently and in a team to achieve a task in a required time.
Skills required:
Negotiation skills, research, time management, Planning and Organizing, Communications skills, facilitation skills and leadership skills.
- Promote Labour peace within the institution, ensure the effective implementation of Disciplinary Code and Procedure, dispute resolutions, timeous resolution of grievances, advice and capacitate the management, organised labour and staff on all Labour Relations issues that includes grievance procedures, disputes and resolutions thereof, represent the employer during disciplinary hearings and preside over case, coordinate Bilateral and Multilateral meetings with organized labour.
Ensure strike and contingency plans are continually updated in the event of any industrial action. Conduct training sessions for Managers and employees on labour relations and conflicts. Collect statistics and compile a consolidated monthly report.

Z83 form must be accompanied by recently updated detailed Curriculum Vitae. All experience should be in a chronological order.
The experience on the Curriculum Vitae must contain the institution, position and dates (DD/MM/YYYY) indicating the starting and ending period to be able to calculate the years of experience. The information on the new Z83 must be in sync/correspond with the Curriculum Vitae. Only shortlisted candidates will be required/requested to submit certified copies of qualifications, service certificate and other relevant documents on or before the interview.
Candidates in possession of a foreign qualification will be required to furnish the Department with an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). HR will conduct Personnel Suitability Checks (PSC) and Verification Checks. The Department reserve the right to conduct verification beyond information provided, where necessary. Failure to submit all the relevant information mentioned above with the exception of HR verification checks, will result in the candidate being disqualify.
