NATIONAL TECHNICAL MANAGER (CRANES)
East Rand
Our well-established client based in the East Rand is seeking a seasoned National Technical Manager with extensive technical experience in Mobile Cranes, Hydraulics, and Pneumatics.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
- 5–8 years' Technical Management experience
- Technical experience with Mobile Cranes
- Experience with Hydraulics and Pneumatics
- Diesel/Mechanical Trade
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification
Duties:
- Assist in preparing annual maintenance and trade expense budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor repair and maintenance expenditure to ensure costs remain within or below budget.
- Continuously develop the technical capabilities of staff through ongoing training on new technologies.
- Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Work closely with the Procurement team and OEMs to secure quality products and services at competitive prices and within required time frames.
- Manage and process all OEM warranty claims.
- Oversee the registration of all newly manufactured generators.
- Drive generator sales while ensuring excellent customer support for both existing and prospective clients.
- Achieve national generator sales revenue and profit margin targets in line with management objectives.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely budget, forecast, branch, and customer visitation reports.
- Promote and present new products and service offerings to existing and potential customers.
- Provide customers and internal stakeholders with regular updates on work in progress.
- Apply supplier pricing structures that align with sales and profitability objectives.
- Identify, develop, and present new business opportunities to Executive Management (MANCO).
- Coordinate and facilitate customer site surveys as required.
