A well-established independent school in Benoni, Gauteng, is seeking an experienced and visionary Principal to lead the institution into its next phase of growth. This is asenior leadership position responsible for the overall strategic direction, academicexcellence, financial sustainability, and cultural identity of the school.

The successful candidate will provide inspirational leadership to staff, learners, and the broaderschool community, while upholding the institution's values, ethos, and reputation for academic and co-curricular excellence.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across all areas of the school, including academics, finance,governance, marketing, and pastoral care
• Drive the school's vision, mission, andlong-term strategic plan in collaboration with the governing body/board
• Ensure high standards of teaching,learning, and academic performance across all phases
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting,and resource allocation to ensure sustainability and growth
• Lead, mentor, and develop a strongsenior management team and staff body
• Foster a positive, inclusive, andvalues-driven school culture for learners and staff
• Manage stakeholder relationships,including parents, alumni, governing body members, and the wider community
• Ensure compliance with relevant education legislation, regulatory bodies, and accreditation requirements
• Champion marketing, admissions, andenrolment growth strategies
• Represent the school at external events,in the media, and within the broader independent schools sector

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Postgraduate qualification in Education Management, Leadership, or a related field (essential or strongly preferred)
• Registration with SACE (South African Council for Educators) - essential
• Valid Code B driver's licence
• Minimum 8-10 years' teaching experience,including significant time in a senior leadership role (Head, Deputy Head,or Executive Head level)
• Proven experience in independent/private school governance, finance, and operations
• Demonstrated track record of leading aschool through academic growth and institutional development
• Sound financial and budgetary management experience
• Strong staff leadership, mentorship, andteam-building experience
• Experience engaging with governing bodies, parent communities, and external stakeholders
• Clear criminal record and clear creditrecord
• Willingness to undergo relevantbackground/vetting checks (SAPS, ITC, etc.)
