Job Purpose An established motor dealership is seeking an experienced, commercially driven and results-oriented Dealer Principal to take overall responsibility for the dealership’s operational, financial and commercial performance.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, drive sales and profitability, develop a high-performing team, ensure excellent customer service and maintain strong operational and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Take full responsibility for the overall dealership operations and performance.
Drive new and pre-owned vehicle sales, revenue and profitability.
Monitor sales targets, gross profit, KPIs, budgets and expenses.
Lead, motivate and develop the dealership management and sales teams.
Drive exceptional customer service and CSI performance.
Manage stock levels, ageing and vehicle stock turn.
Ensure compliance with company, manufacturer and industry standards.
Develop strategies to increase market share, revenue and customer retention.
Build strong relationships with customers, manufacturers and key stakeholders.
Identify business opportunities and drive continuous operational improvement.

Requirements

Extensive experience within the motor dealership industry.
Previous senior dealership management experience.
Previous Dealer Principal experience is advantageous.
Proven track record of achieving sales, profitability and operational targets.
Strong understanding of dealership operations, sales, F&I, aftersales and administration.
Strong financial and commercial acumen.
Proven leadership and people-management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation and decision-making abilities.
Highly target-driven, customer-focused and commercially minded.
Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
