About the Role
Our client, a busy automotive dealership in Klerksdorp , is seeking a results-oriented and experienced Automotive Parts Manager to oversee all aspects of the parts department operations. This leadership role involves managing inventory, controlling costs, motivating the parts team, and ensuring excellent customer service for both internal service departments and external customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive parts, inventory management systems, and a proven track record in sales and profitability within a dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock of parts while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase parts sales and profitability.
- Supervise, train, and motivate the parts department staff, fostering a high-performance team culture.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with parts suppliers and negotiate favorable pricing and terms.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all parts orders, including wholesale and retail sales.
- Oversee the organization and physical inventory of the parts department.
- Significant experience in an Automotive Parts Department , with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive parts, systems, and various vehicle makes and models.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and dealership management systems (DMS).
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive sales performance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications are a plus.
