About the Role
Our client is looking for a dynamic and organized Ground Operations Manager to lead their airport services team in Benoni . This critical role ensures the safe, efficient, and punctual handling of all ground operations, including baggage handling, aircraft servicing, and passenger support. You will manage a team of ground staff, coordinate with various airport stakeholders, and implement operational improvements to enhance service quality and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of airport operations and a proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of ground operations , including aircraft turnaround, baggage handling, and passenger services.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of ground handling staff to achieve operational targets.
- Develop and implement efficient procedures and work instructions for ground operations.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, security protocols, and aviation standards .
- Coordinate effectively with flight crews, air traffic control, and other airport departments.
- Monitor operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage resources, including equipment and personnel, to ensure operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Proven experience in airport ground operations management or a related aviation field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire performance.
- In-depth knowledge of airport operations, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
