Are you passionate about conservation, youth development and adventure?
An exciting opportunity is available for aConservation & Expedition Facilitator/Guidein the Hoedspruit area.
This isfar more than a traditional safari guiding role. You’ll work alongside young people, facilitating conservation and community projects while supporting their development, wellbeing, and safety throughout different expedition phases.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Facilitate conservation and environmental projects
- Lead, manage and support youth groups
- Provide pastoral care and support youth development
- Deliver environmental education
- Support community and trekking/adventure phases
- Assist with camp and expedition operations
- Maintain participant safety and professional standards
- CATHSSETA and GUIDING qualification ESSENTIAL
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Valid PDP
- South African citizen or valid right to work in South Africa
- Youth development or volunteer management experience
- Knowledge of Lowveld ecology and conservation
- Strong practical bush or maintenance skills
- Community engagement or environmental education experience
Important:
This role is suited to someone comfortable with remote, off-grid expedition life, including tents, cold showers, communal living and physically demanding work.
