Community Outreach Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated and organized Community Outreach Coordinator to engage with the residents of Klerksdorp . This role is central to building strong relationships between our client and the community, raising awareness about services, and facilitating participation in programs. You will be responsible for planning and executing outreach events, managing communication channels, and identifying opportunities to serve community needs effectively.

The ideal candidate is a people-person, adept at communication and event planning, and passionate about fostering positive community connections in a hands-on role.

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to connect with target community groups.
• Organize and manage community events, workshops, and information sessions.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and residents.
• Create and distribute promotional materials to raise awareness of services and initiatives.
• Gather feedback from the community to inform program development and service delivery.
• Represent the organization at community meetings and events, serving as a key liaison.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a qualification in community development, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in community outreach, event planning, or public relations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with the Klerksdorp community and its dynamics.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for events.
