A Technical Sales Representative in the Consumer Electrical industry must possess a unique blend of technical expertise and sales acumen to effectively promote and sell electrical products to consumers. The role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems and products, as well as the ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner to clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with retail clients to promote and sell consumer electrical products
- Provide technical expertise and support to customers on products, including troubleshooting and product recommendations
- Collaborate with internal teams such as product development and marketing to ensure customer needs are met
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and product knowledge to effectively sell products to customers
- Attend trade shows and conferences to promote products and build relationships within the industry
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to potential clients
- Meet and exceed sales targets and goals set by management
- Identify potential clients, build relationships, and generate leads to drive sales
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase features and benefits
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals and quotes to potential clients
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and competitors to inform sales strategies
- Flexibility to travel to client sites as needed
- Strong technical background in consumer electrical products
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to translate technical information into layman's terms for customers
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to finding solutions
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools
