Firgrove - My client, a well-established company within the FMCG and fruit industry has a career opportunity for a Key Accounts Manager to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of proven experience as Key Account manager in the food service and/or retail industry.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and increase sales of the company products to the existing customer base
  • Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities and create new business
  • Create sales budget for regional customers and monitor turnover against it on a monthly basis
  • Achieve weekly, monthly and annual KPI's
  • Present strategic planning to improve client results
  • Meet margin targets
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Collaborating with the sales team to maximise profit by up-sell and cross-sell potential within existing customers
  • Monitoring market trends and providing regular feedback including on competitors
  • Acting as the main point of contact between key clients and internal teams
  • Compiling reports on account progress, goals and forecasts
  • Meeting all client needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines
  • Visit customers and follow up on leads
  • Demonstrate and present products and attend to trade exhibitions
  • Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all regulations/applicable laws
  • Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and company
Requirements
  • At least four (4) years of proven experience as Key Account manager in the food service and/or retail industry
  • Network of contacts within the purchasing departments of the main players in the Food service and Retail is required
  • Have proven strong track record of success within account management
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions
  • Highly goal oriented, assertive and a hand‑on problem solver
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Analyse and draw inference from data
  • In possession of own car
  • Willing to travel within different regions
