Meridian Wine Merchants is currently seeking a passionate and results-driven individual to join our team as a Hybrid Sales Consultant. At Meridian Wine Merchants, we combine tradition and innovation to provide outstanding products tailored to our diverse clients. This position is based in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.

Duties and Responsibilities

Execute call procedures effectively, in accordance with the SOP, before, during, and after calls.

Utilize sales levers at outlets according to the SOP and customer call procedures.

Maintain accurate records of all wines listed on wine lists within your sales area, following the wine list database SOP.

Manage stock allocation as per RSM requirements and stock allocation reports.

Log all calls and interactions with customers on the handheld device, following SOP and RSM guidelines.

Carry out new product introductions, vintage changes, and upliftment procedures as per SOP.

Conduct client trade visits according to RSM requirements and SOP.

Ensure customer satisfaction through effective call cycle management and planning.

Manage competing demands by planning and prioritizing tasks.

Assist new customers in opening accounts, following SOP guidelines.

Record and respond promptly to customer complaints, queries, and feedback, adhering to Communication SOP and contact grid.

Identify and execute promotional opportunities based on customer needs and promotional SOP.

Identify training needs of customers and implement training plans accordingly.

Understand sales strategies and personal sales targets by customer and brand, and work towards achieving them.

Adhere to the dress code (smart casual) as per SOP.

Manage company assets, including car, laptop, and handheld devices, following SOP.

Submit all expense reports timely, as per SOP.

Qualifications and Experience

Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or Food and Beverage Management.
Knowledge of the liquor industry and wines.
Skills in selling, coaching, and negotiation.
2-3 years of sales and merchandising experience in a related FMCG environment.
CWA Certificate Wine Course.
