Job Description The Veterinary Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth across the assigned territory, managing and motivating the sales team, maintaining strong client and wholesaler relationships, and ensuring effective execution of sales and marketing strategies to achieve business objectives.
Assigned Territory Veterinary practices and pet shops in the Western Cape, Free State, North West, Limpopo, and parts of Gauteng.
Responsibilities- Achieve sales as per agreed target.
- Manage and motivate sales persons to achieve set targets.
- Regular liaison with top clients and wholesalers
- Control all administration functions relating to sales management.
- Ensure desired margins are maintained.
- Develop the sales forecast/budget and strategy for the areas in line with the business potential for the areas
- Implement marketing strategies in order to achieve sales objectives for the area.
- Control expenses in areas within budget limits in order to maximise profitability for the Company.
- When necessary, recruit, train and develop a highly skilled and motivated sales force to ensure functioning at full potential.
- Monitor and evaluate performance on a routine basis and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Communication with sales persons, group discussions, role-plays, field training.
- Plot out sales territories.
- Implement new advertising campaigns, with product managers.
- Implement marketing plans for new products, with product managers.
- Attend national and international congresses / conferences as necessary.
- Sales force effectiveness Selling and negotiation skills
- Identify Key Accounts and work with the sales people in order to ensure maximum potential is attained at these accounts
- Matric with a tertiary qualification in the agricultural or veterinary field.
- Sales experience in the veterinary field of at least 3 years
- Sales management experience with related sales and management training courses would be an advantage
- AVCASA Certification will be required
