Sales Representative (Tools - Steel Markets

Duties / Key Responsibilities

• Sell industrial consumable products to customers within the steel and related markets.
• Achieve agreed sales targets and forecasts.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Identify opportunities to increase customer activity and sales.
• Handle customer queries, complaints and objections professionally.
• Recommend practical solutions based on customer needs.
• Promote the company’s products, service standards and professional image.
• Work closely with sales management, customer service, product teams and technical specialists.

• Previous sales experience within industrial or steel markets is essential.
• Experience selling consumable products is required.
• Comfortable working with sales targets and customer forecasts.
• Computer literate, including MS Office and Excel.
• Experience using CRM systems.
• Good spoken and written English; bilingual ability would be an advantage.
• Valid Code 8 driver’s licence.
• Able to manage complaints and objections while finding workable solutions.

• Matric / Grade 12 or NTC 3.
• Formal sales training or a sales qualification would be an advantage.

• Friendly, confident and easy to deal with.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable communicating with customers and colleagues at different levels.
• Willing to learn and apply new technical and sales knowledge.
• Customer-focused, practical and solutions-driven.
