La Granson International is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to support daily sales activities and help deliver a positive customer experience. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in sales who enjoys working with people, learning about products, and contributing to a team’s success.

The Sales Assistant will play an important role in welcoming customers, understanding their needs, supporting product selection, and helping maintain an organised and professional sales environment.

Welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner

Assist customers with product information, pricing, and availability

Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products or services

Support the sales team in achieving daily and monthly sales targets

Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently

Handle customer questions and resolve basic concerns in a helpful manner

Maintain clean, organised, and well-presented sales displays and work areas

Monitor stock levels and report low or missing inventory

Assist with receiving, unpacking, and arranging stock when needed

Keep up to date with product knowledge and promotions

Build positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business

Customers receive prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service

Sales transactions are handled accurately

The sales floor remains organised, stocked, and presentable

Customer questions are addressed efficiently and professionally

The team is supported in meeting sales and service goals

Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent

Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills

A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Good customer service skills

Basic numeracy and confidence handling transactions

Ability to work well in a team

Good organisational skills and attention to detail

Reliable, punctual, and professional in conduct

Ability to work on-site in Bellville, Cape Town

Basic computer literacy

Previous retail, customer service, or sales experience

Familiarity with point-of-sale systems

Confidence in promoting products and speaking with customers

Additional local language skills
