About the Unit

Yara Africa Fertilizer (Pty) Ltd has an opportunity for a Graduate Agronomist. This position will be based in the Potchefstroom area of the North West Province. This is an entry level position designed to provide hands‑on experience in fertilizer recommendations, soil management and sustainable farming under the mentorship of experienced agronomists.

• Field Scouting and Data Collection: Monitoring crops for pests, weeds, and diseases, and conducting soil and water samples.
• Field Trials and Research: Assisting with the design, planting, and management of research trials, including testing new fertilizer regimes or seed varieties.
• Data Analysis: Using Microsoft Excel and agricultural software to compile and interpret trial data for technical reports.
• Client Support: Assisting experienced agronomists with grower meetings, promoting sustainable farming practices, and providing technical advice.
• Equipment Management: Calibrating field equipment and managing seed stocks.
• Sustainability Focus: Researching and promoting environmentally sound practices to improve soil health and water conservation.

• Own vehicle with a valid driver's licence
• Master's is an added advantage
