Internship Environmental

Gold One Gedex Operation, a gold mining company located in Brakpan, Gauteng, is offering Environmental Sciences Internship opportunities for 2026. This program is designed to provide unemployed South African graduates with practical experience in environmental management within the mining sector. The internship supports local community development, with preference given to residents of Springs, Benoni, Brakpan, and Nigel. Selection will be based on academic performance and an interview process.

• Assist with environmental monitoring and compliance activities
• Support data collection and reporting on environmental impact
• Participate in site inspections and audits
• Help maintain documentation related to environmental regulations
• Contribute to sustainability initiatives and waste management programs
• Engage in research and analysis of environmental risks and mitigation strategies

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Environmental Sciences Studies
• Under 35 years of age
• No previous internship experience
• Currently unemployed
• South African citizenship
• Clear criminal record
• Medically fit
• Residing in Springs, Benoni, Brakpan, or Nigel is preferred
