We are currently recruiting for a Trade Tested Fitter & Turner to join an underground mining site in Welkom on a contract basis
. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing civil works and the installation of mining equipment
, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to site standards.

• Oversee and coordinate civil works related to underground mining projects
• Supervise and support the installation, positioning, and commissioning of mining equipment
• Ensure contractors and teams adhere to site safety, quality, and compliance standards
• Conduct inspections and report on progress, issues, and site requirements
• Assist with fault finding, mechanical support, and shutdown/maintenance activities where required
• Ensure correct documentation is completed (job cards, checklists, reports)

• Trade Tested Fitter & Turner (Red Seal)
• Proven experience in underground mining
• Strong exposure to installation of mining equipment and site mechanical activities
• Solid understanding of mine safety standards and compliance
• Site Supervisor experience and/or 2.9.2 appointment advantageous
• Experience with civil works advantageous
