Red Seal Qualified Heavy -Duty Trucks Mechanic - Bethal

A fast paced driven trucking Company is seeking a Red Seal Qualified Truck Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers to ensure fleet reliability, safety, and compliance. The successful candidate will be hands‑on, safety‑focused, and experienced with preventative maintenance and complex mechanical repairs.

Bethal - Living location Only

• Diagnose, service, and repair heavy-duty trucks and other commercial vehicles

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) in line with manufacturer and legal standards

• Repair and overhaul diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, brakes, suspension, and steering systems

• Conduct electrical and electronic fault-finding

• Inspect vehicles for roadworthiness and safety compliance

• Complete job cards, service reports, and maintenance records accurately

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

• Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs when required

• Liaise with workshop supervisors, fleet managers, and parts departments

• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean workshop environment

• Red Seal Trade Certificate (Truck / Diesel Mechanic) – Essential

• Proven experience working on heavy-duty commercial vehicles

• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills

• Knowledge of air brake systems and suspension

• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics

• Valid driver’s licence (Code C or higher preferred)

• Willingness to work overtime or shifts when required

• Experience with
  fleet maintenance or logistics operations

• Exposure to OEM diagnostic tools

• Welding or fabrication skills (advantageous)

• Strong time management and problem‑solving ability

• Ability to work independently and under pressure
