Construction Installer - Lift Industry

Vision Elevators is looking for a motivated and skilled Construction Installer to join our Cape Town operations. If you have experience in the lift and escalator industry, take pride in quality workmanship, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we'd like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, layout drawings, and technical specifications.
• Install new elevators in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Assemble and install elevator components, including guide rails, elevator cars, motors, control systems, and associated equipment.
• Connect electrical wiring and perform functional testing to ensure systems operate correctly.
• Carry out troubleshooting, adjustments, and commissioning during the installation process.
• Perform elevator removals and modernization projects.
• Ensure all installations comply with relevant safety regulations, building codes, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and installation team to achieve project deadlines.
• Submit accurate daily site reports.
• Communicate site progress, risks, delays, and technical issues clearly and promptly.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company assets in good working condition.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and operational requirements.
• Take ownership and responsibility for the quality of work completed and the sites assigned.

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Valid South African driver's licence.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as an Elevator/Lift Installer.
• Experience in elevator installations, removals, and modernization projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Good understanding of installation safety standards and industry regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
