Commercial Vehicle Diesel Mechanic
North West:
Potchefstroom
R26 000 – R30 000 + Overtime + Incentive and other benefits
Are you a skilled Diesel Mechanic looking for your next opportunity? A well-established commercial vehicle workshop in Potchefstroom is looking to add an experienced technician to their team.
Previous experience working on commercial vehicle brands such as UD Trucks, FAW, MAN, Volvo, Hino, Scania, DAF or IVECO will be highly advantageous. However, qualified Diesel Mechanics with solid commercial truck experience and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair and service commercial diesel vehicles
- Perform basic diagnostics and fault finding
- Repair and troubleshoot electrical wiring faults
- Service and repair air brake systems
- Carry out gearbox repairs and maintenance
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Red Seal Trade Certificate)
- Minimum 2-3 years post qualification experience working on commercial vehicles/trucks
- Competent in basic diagnostic and fault-finding
- Good knowledge of wiring, air brakes and gearboxes
- Valid Drivers Licensee
- Good communication skills and a positive team attitude
- Clear criminal and credit record
- Stable employment history with contactable references
