Electrician - Franschhoek

Location: Franschhoek

Our client a established electronic company in Franschhoek is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for residential electrical maintenance, construction installations, fault-finding, repairs, and ensuring all work complies with South African electrical regulations.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety-conscious, customer-focused, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform residential electrical maintenance and new electrical installations.
Carry out electrical work on construction sites.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently and safely.
Install, maintain, and repair:
Distribution boards (DB boards)
Electrical wiring
Lighting systems
Plug circuits
Electrical distribution systems
Complete Certificate of Compliance (COC) inspections, repairs, and sign-offs.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical plans.
Install and maintain backup power systems and solar installations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical standards, regulations, and safety procedures.
Deliver professional customer service while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.

Minimum Requirements:
Qualified Electrician with a valid Trade Test (Red Seal).
Minimum of 3 years' hands-on electrical experience.
Proven experience in residential maintenance and construction installations.
Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Experience with Certificate of Compliance (COC) repairs and sign-offs.

Experience with backup power and solar installations.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical plans.
Valid South African Code B driver's licence.
Clean criminal record.
Must reside in or near Franschhoek.
