T2 Junior Technician - Technical Service Centre - Head Office

MAIN PURPOSE

Provide comprehensive technical services for the efficient and safe operation of electronics for health, safety and productivity in technical service center to achieve the main objective within the Organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be an experienced Electronics Technician with excellent soldering skills.
• Installs components, units and printed circuit boards following specifications.
• Have experience in using electronic test equipment.
• Be able to read and understand technical drawings, circuit diagrams, datasheets, and written work instructions.
• Installation, repairing, certification and technical support of electronic products and systems to the highest technical and safety standards of the product and company.
• Repair personnel has signed off REPAIR REPORT job is complete to the specified requirements.
• Be able to read and understand technical drawings, circuit diagrams, datasheets, and written work instructions.
• Set up and tests units to meet specified requirements.
• Quality checks all work as per company quality policy Troubleshoot problems to determine root cause of issue and recommend a corrective action.
• Correct packaging being used, all relevant paperwork present and labelled correctly.
• Ensure the Area of work is always clean and tidy.
• Ensure that tools are used correctly and for the right function. Tools are in good working condition.
• Operates hand tools and small power tools and understand their use and function.
• Ordering and recording correct stock on repair records.
• Ensure the report is written correctly and with details.
• Pay attention to details while on duty.

Skill development

• Liaise with regards to the Schulenburg product knowledge
• Understand the Schulenburg product functionality.
• Ensure E-learning is complete.
• Attend practical training when scheduled

Support

• Feedback on a regular basis.
• Report any difficulties early for assistance.
• Ensure that tasks assigned are completed.
• Provide support to the technicians with regards to work.
• Adhere to company policy

Health and Safety

• Adhere to all safety procedure and regulations.
• adhere to specific risk assessment before commencing daily tasks.
• Adhere to regulations of ISO standard 9001.
• Adhere to regulations of IS in terms of repairs.
• Adhere to OHS Act 85 of 1993 section 14.
• Adhere to occupational chemical substances in a manner that ensures the safety and health of humans and prevent damages to the environment
• Report any possible health and safety related risks encountered in area of work

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• N4/ National Diploma in Electronics
• Trade Test
• 2 - 4 Years experience in Electronics
