Electronic Technician

Our client, a respected leader in the industrial automation sector, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electronics Technician to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced automation equipment, provide technical support across multiple sites, and lead troubleshooting, commissioning, and repair activities.

The successful candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of PLC hardware, VSDs, servo systems, and industrial control systems, coupled with proven fault-finding abilities and leadership experience.

• Relevant tertiary qualification such as an N Diploma, BTech, National Diploma, or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field
• Candidates currently pursuing a relevant qualification will also be considered

• Minimum 8 years' general industry experience
• Strong understanding of PLC hardware, analogue signals, and digital signals
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
• Extensive Variable Speed Drive (VSD) knowledge
• Experience with VSD repairs and commissioning
• Knowledge of servo motors and encoder feedback systems
• Strong on-site fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Word
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
• Previous management or supervisory experience advantageous
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
