Mobile Crane Technician ​/ Mechanic

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair mobile cranes (30T+).

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.

• Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.

• Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is safe and operational.

• Complete job cards and electronic service records.

• Maintain company tools and workshop equipment.

• Work in the workshop and travel to customer sites when required.

• Participate in standby duties, overtime and weekend work when necessary.

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic, Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic or similar trade.

• Minimum 10years' experience working on mobile cranes (30-ton and above).

• Experience working on lifting equipment or material handling machinery
  .

• Strong hydraulic and auto-electrical fault-finding experience.

• Experience working on heavy equipment ("yellow metal").

• Computer literate.

• Valid driver's licence.

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

• Good understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.

• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Physically fit with sober habits.

• Willing to work overtime, weekends and standby when required.
