A Vacancy exists for a Technician in the Mining Division based in Harmony South – Welkom
The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Installation and fault finding of new alarms, electric fences and CCTV Systems;
- Maintenance of existing electronic security systems;
- Repairing of cables, focusing, cleaning and re - adjusting of cameras;
- Attending meetings when required to;
- Regular communications and development of a good relationship with clients;
- Attention to detail on all aspects of relevant responsibilities;
- Adhere to the Agreement between the client and the company;
- Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations;
- Management and Control of Documentation, Including Registers, Overtime and Route Sheets;
- Submission of fault reports on the system;
- Compiling of Job Card Quotes and obtaining required cost code for ordering;
- Available to be on standby when required and to work long hours if required;
- Ensure adherence to Company policy & procedures;
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification;
- Driver’s license Code 8
- Relevant experience with IDS Alarms, Listener CRM Software, Hikvision CCTV Equipment, Nemtek Electric Fences;
- Basic Computer Troubleshooting skills
- Basic IT Networking Knowledge
- Bilingual (English and Afrikaans, other South African language advantages);
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Must reside in Welkom or surrounding areas;
- Own transport;
- No criminal record;
- Willing to work long hours / overtime and willing to travel extensively;
