About the RoleAs a Millwright
, you'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimising industrial production equipment to ensure maximum reliability, efficiency, and uptime.
Working within a modern manufacturing environment, you'll play a key role in preventing breakdowns, solving technical challenges, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
What You'll Be DoingYour responsibilities will include:
- Performing mechanical and electrical maintenance on production machinery and technical installations
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation-related faults
- Carrying out preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime
- Assisting with troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, and frequency drives
- Identifying opportunities to improve machine performance and production efficiency
- Recording maintenance activities and completing technical documentation
- Working closely with production and engineering teams to optimise plant performance
- Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping
- Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- A recognised qualification in Millwright, Electromechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance
, or equivalent practical experience - Proven experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing environments
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and frequency drives
- A solid understanding of industrial production machinery and automated systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and within a technical team
- Preventative maintenance programmes
- Automated manufacturing equipment
- Continuous improvement or Lean Manufacturing environments
- South African citizen
- Willing and able to relocate to Belgium
- Valid passport (or willing to obtain one)
- Good Afrikaans proficiency is essential
- Valid driver's licence (where required)
- Passion for continuous learning and technical development
