The Maintenance Officer is responsible for the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation.

The role includes diagnosing faults, performing routine and corrective maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, and completing required administrative tasks.

The post requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to work extended hours when necessary.

• Inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Complete and maintain accurate maintenance records and general administration.
• Assist with installation, commissioning and adjustments of equipment as required.
• Be available to work extended hours to support urgent repairs and production requirements.

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Appropriate trade qualification: RED Seal Millwright Trade Test.
• Minimum 4 years post-apprenticeship experience.

• Excellent communication in Afrikaans and English.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety.
• Mechanisation skills.
• Machine maintenance and repair.
• Troubleshooting mechanical faults.
• Preventive maintenance competency.
• Physical fitness to perform manual tasks.
• Willingness to work extended hours.
• Good interpersonal skills.
