Assistant Nursery Manager

An exciting opportunity is open for a disciplined and motivated candidate to join the Sutherland Seedlings team near Ixopo, Kwa Zulu-Natal.

• Manage seedling propagation
• Manage growing activities of nursery plants (irrigation, spraying, etc)
• Conduct plant quality checks and compile weekly stock reports and germination checks
• Manage dispatch operations, preparing orders and loading of delivery vehicles.
• Manage maintenance activities

• Hold a horticulture qualification and with relevant industry experience.
• Must be an honest, reliable and hardworking individual who “gets their hands dirty”
• Have good organisation and time management skills
• Have a positive attitude; be conscientious and work well as part of a team
• Have a desire to work in the agriculture industry and produce excellent quality plants
• Speak fluent English and Zulu
• Have own transport and a valid driving license
