Mincon Kalahari is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious RDT Technician to join our team in Kathu. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining drilling equipment, supporting operational efficiency, ensuring maximum equipment availability, and adhering to the highest safety standards.

• Ensure optimal machine and equipment availability.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on drilling equipment.
• Inspect, fit, and remove equipment on drill rigs.
• Service DTH (Down-The-Hole) hammers to extend equipment life.
• Sharpen and grind drill bits to maximize performance and lifespan.
• Conduct regular inspections of drill bit conditions.
• Perform safe and correct component replacement and changes.
• Report equipment defects, damages, and maintenance requirements.
• Troubleshoot GET and related equipment issues.
• Capture and record equipment changes, deviations, and maintenance activities.
• Maintain excellent customer relations and communication.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and PPE requirements.
• Identify workplace hazards and report unsafe conditions.
• Participate in and conduct safety meetings when required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop and working environment.
• Complete all relevant maintenance and operational documentation accurately.

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Relevant Safety Management training or certification.
• Code 10 driver’s license.

• Optimal drill bit & hammer performance.

• Housekeeping Standards.
• Customer service.
• Safety Compliance.

• Ability to work in a mining environment.
• Medically fit for mine site work.
